Simcha Gluck is the co-founder of FreshBiz and author of The New Entrepreneurz. In this week’s episode, Simcha details his experience with self-development and how his work impacted his personal and professional and religious life.
Having grown up in New York, Simcha’s only metric for success as a young man in business was how much money he was making. But he soon learned that personal success and success in business were completely intertwined, and he made it a priority to develop himself as a person and businessman together. Much of that self-development involved identifying and eventually breaking down the labels of the “box” era in which he grew up, where every subject and topic had its own box and nothing overlapped. The deeper he got into self-development, the better he could see the connections between the boxes and how they all stemmed out of the ultimate “box” of Judaism. That mentality of breaking out of labels and barriers carried him through his journey to Israel, the Start Up Nation, and helped him develop his current endeavor, #FreshBizGame.
